New Facebook. Be visual.

Sorry I took so long, but I don’t want to write something you won’t believe. So, here is the truth about Facebook new image. I think it’s great, and brands will love it too.

News feed provide greater emphasis on images and personalizing information. Mark Zuckerberg, said, “the way we are sharing is changing, and the design of news feed needs to evolve”.

So, for sure, we are going to have significant changes in the way you will communicate on Facebook. This changes will affect your business, and your brand’s presence on the social network, but not in a bad way.

Facebook new design understands that there is a new way of communication. Zuckerberg told last Thursday, in a press conference, “nearly 50 percent of content is visual.” So Facebook users can expect more images in their news feed, and this includes profile pictures of people in their timeline. More images means more interactions. More interactions means more traffic. More traffic, means more customers, and so on.

What about my brand?

In my opinion, and with my experience I can tell you this is a substantial change for brands, and this will provide more opportunities for companies to reach people. Let’s see: if the new design will feature articles in a way that resembles a well- curated magazine, this means images accompanying articles will be better displayed. There’s more:  the publisher’s logo will have more prominence, as well.

Do you think this is bad or good for your brand?

Well I’m excited with the changes. Let´s communicate then. Be visual.
