“The Dress” is back… against domestic violence

salvation army dressThe Salvation Army, a charity company in UK, has used “The Dress” for their new campaign against domestic violence.

After several days of a controversy about the colours of this dress, now a new campaign has started around the same dress. Well not exactly the same. Now we have the gold and white. For real!

Originally “The Dress” is black and blue, but the controversy stills on going on social networks. The reason some people sees the dress as white and gold rather than its true black and blue is due to a number of factors, namely the lighting within the photograph.

So, the saga keeps on going and new ideas keeps coming. Now the Salvation Army has produced an image portraying a young woman covered in bruises, wearing ‘The Dress”.

In what colours? White and gold. The real message? ‘Why is it so hard to see black and blue” is the main message of this campaign.

“The only illusion is if you think it was her choice. One in six women are victims of abuse. Stop abuse against women” is the message underneath.

So ‘The Dress’ is back for a good cause, and The Salvation Army campaign is not about “The Dress”. This is a huge campaign against domestic violence as in England and Wales two women are killed every week by domestic violence.
